Position Purpose:

We are looking for a responsible bilingual forklift operator to move goods and materials within our warehouse. You will operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces, and other company areas. The goal will be to ensure that materials and products will always be in the right place in a timely manner to achieve maximum efficiency.

Essential Job Functions:

Warehouse:

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to production workstations
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Safety:

Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition
• Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing; operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures
• Corrects unsafe conditions in the work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to manager

• Performs all job-related duties as assigned and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of forklift practices and safety
• Skill performing daily forklift duties throughout the warehouse
• Ability to communicate clearly in Spanish with employees
• Ability to handle goods and materials by hand and using a forklift
• Ability to work in a team environment

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma, preferred
Certification/License: Forklift certification, preferred
Experience: 1 or more years’ experience working in a manufacturing or construction
environment, required

Physical & Mental Demands, Work Hazards

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard forklift machinery; some computer work
Posture: Moderate standing, walking, sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and
twisting
Motion: Frequent repetitive hand and arm motions; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying (less than 100 lbs.)
Environment: Works in a warehouse/shop setting; may require occasional irregular and/or
prolonged hours
Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position
Mental Demands: Maintains emotional control under stress; works with frequent interruptions
