Ways To Cope With Quarantine

Everyone is getting tired and getting frustrated with the always-changing regulations, suggestions, and guidelines. Everyone is adjusting to working from home and trying to figure out what they are going to do for the upcoming school year. It gets overwhelming and you just want a breath of fresh air. Are you tired of being cooped up inside? Needing a place to sneak away for a work conference call without the noise of the kids in the background?  Maybe you are not wanting to send the kiddos back to school and trying to figure out where or how to homeschool them.

Here are a few ideas to help cope with the changes:

Declutter and Outdoor Maintenance
A great way to cope is to get outside work around the yard. Get the family outdoors, soak up some vitamin D, and get those yard work tasks done. Clean out the garage and declutter the closets. This will bring some stress relief, get you outside, and get those tasks accomplished. Freshen up the paint in the house, oil those squeaking doors, clean the carpets and clean out those freezers and refrigerators. This keeps you active and helps relieve a lot of stress as well as brightens up the place.

Schooling
Everyone is having to make a decision on keeping the kids home for school, homeschooling with their own programs, or sending them back to public schools. For those who are doing the homeschool or online learning and don’t really have that space to do school work and that room to let them get into their zone, look into a backyard shed. A backyard shed would make a perfect little schoolhouse and gives them a space to get away to and out of the house.

Home Office Space
Needing that space to slip out and have those conference calls or those zoom meetings? A backyard office makes a great place to get up and go into work. You can have the quietness and privacy to do the meetings and also get into your zone without distractions. The other benefit is your work is in that building and not in two or three rooms in the house.

Playhouses
Keep the kiddos entertained with a kids’ playhouse. A playhouse gives them an opportunity to get out of the house, make some memories, and soak up some Vitamin D as well. This is a simple hack to bring some joy into the kids’ lives while dealing with these times of not being able to be with friends and not being able to run and go as normal.

In these times remember tough times don’t last but tough people do. Keep you and your family safe. If you need a backyard storage shed, schoolroom, office or playhouse then Leland’s is here to help you with that project.
